Our client a specialist provider of Supported Living and Residential Care in the Sussex area are seeking a dedicated & dynamic Team Leader for their supported living service in Worthing.

Located in the breath taking Sussex countryside, the service specialises in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Epilepsy. They are committed to providing exceptional supported living services to their residents whilst empowering and enriching the lives of those they support, fostering independence and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Your role:-

As a Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading a team of support staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery. You will work closely with individuals receiving support, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans, promote independence, and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that care and support services are delivered in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging the active participation and empowerment of those we support.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of support plans, making adjustments as needed to meet changing needs and goals.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Act as a point of contact for families, advocates, and other professionals, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for development and implementing best practices.

About You:-

We are looking for candidates who are caring, dedicated and love working with people. You will have excellent communication skills, a passion to motivate others and be able to plan and execute the working day.

  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a supported living or social care setting.
  • Strong understanding of supported living principles, person-centered planning, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and motivate a team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Relevant qualifications in social care or management (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
