GBR Recruitment Ltd in Lincoln, are recruiting for an experienced time served Senior Electrical Engineer (M&E / MEP) to work in a hands on plus in a first line supervisory capacity overseeing more Junior Engineers.

This exciting & varied role, is working for a well-respected highly progressive Mechanical & Electrical Building Services / Multi-disciplinary business based in Hampshire / South East of the UK.

Working on behalf of a large variety of clients, from SME's to Major Nationals across the Commercial, Education, Industrial, Retail, Health Care, Sports & Leisure, Residential, Multi-Residential sectors, plus other Private & Public sectors, with this key role leading the Electrical side of this M&E / MEP business, leading & working hands on with Electrical Engineers to deliver high quality complex electrical installations, working closely with architects, designers & projects managers to make it all happen.

You’ll successfully supervise & be a hands on Electrical installation leader, delivering a 5-star service on all electrical / M&E / MEP projects, completing all required Electrical works OTIF.

You with be passionate about delivering high end customer satisfaction at all times, focused on quality of workmanship, timescales & commercial viability.

You will be an Electrical Guru, delivering bespoke project works to NICEIC / JIB standards, with strong experience in running Electrical / M&E contracts, running them from initial inception to full completion / client handover, seasoned in electrical building services contract delivery (as part of an experienced, professional M&E team)

Experience of working directly with clients as the main contractor, as well as delivering M&E sub-contracting services to other building contractors / M&E companies would be ideal, as the client works with a mix of both, delivering M&E projects valued from £50K to multi millions.

You will be a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor / Principal Electrical Engineer, M&E Supervisor, MEP Supervisor or similar.

Experience / Skills:

  • Strong Electrical installation Supervisory skills / experience, working to NICEIC standards, within a M&E / MEP services provider.
  • Used to working in M&E Building Services delivery, across varying sectors, within various size businesses & varying size projects.
  • 2391 inspection & testing on electrical installations / works.
  • Ideally 18th edition wiring installation certified / BS 7671
  • Level 3 (C&G 2365) or Level 4 qualification in Electrical installation or Electrical engineering or equivalent, with ECS skills card
  • Used to supervising other Electricians / M&E trades to deliver commercially viable & profitable installation contracts, OTIF & to customer satisfaction & to a high quality standard of work.
  • Methodical & organised approach to work (projects & installations).
  • Able to give Electrical Technical guidance / leadership & advice to the team, plus clients & suppliers.
  • Comfortable working from the Hampshire office & out in the field on clients’ sites.
  • Adaptable & flexible with work tasks, in a small team where everyone is fully hands on (working supervisor role, leading from the front).
