Are you passionate about supporting children with severe special needs? We are looking for a caring and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a welcoming school in Worthing. As a Behaviour Buddy, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of needs, from autism to more complex medical requirements such as tube feeding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support to children with severe special needs, ensuring they feel valued and included.
  • Assist with the daily care of students, including support for medical needs such as tube feeding (training provided if necessary).
  • Work closely with the teaching and SEN team to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the individual needs of each child.
  • Support the development of social and communication skills through positive interaction and encouragement.
  • Monitor progress and collaborate with other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
About You:
  • Experience in a similar role as a Behaviour Buddy is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse and complex needs.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviors and providing emotional support.
  • A willingness to learn and take on responsibilities such as tube feeding and other medical support tasks.
  • A strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs.
