My client is a well-established and customer-focused automotive service provider, offering a wide range of services including MOT testing, repairs, and fast-fit solutions. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality service to their customers and are looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician to join their growing team.
Job Description
As an MOT Tester / Fast Fit Technician, you will be responsible for performing MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs and fast-fit services such as tyre changes, brakes, and exhaust work. Your role will ensure that vehicles meet road safety standards and that our customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Perform diagnostic checks and identify faults on vehicles.
- Carry out repairs and fast-fit services, including tyre fitting, brake work, exhaust replacement, and other related tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with the latest health and safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and guidance on repairs or maintenance needed.
- Maintain accurate records of MOT tests, repairs, and parts used.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet service targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Class 4 MOT Tester license (essential).
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience in fast-fit services, such as tyre changes, brake and exhaust work.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform a variety of repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
