About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and drivenGeneral Managerto take the lead at The Perch. This is a pivotal role requiring a strong leader with a passion for hospitality and the skills to manage all aspects of a busy, high-performing restaurant. You'll ensure smooth daily operations, inspire a talented team, and deliver an unforgettable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire restaurant team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, from opening to closing.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Take ownership of financial targets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
  • Maintain high standards of food and service quality, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Handle stock management, supplier relationships, and invoicing.
  • Act as the face of the restaurant, hosting guests and accommodating special occasions.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.

What Were Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years as a General Manager or similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant or pub.
  • Leadership Skills: A confident and inspiring leader who motivates teams and fosters a positive working environment.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financials, operational targets, and cost control.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in food and beverage service, including allergens, dietary requirements, and an understanding of wine, beer, cocktails, and coffee.
  • Communication & Organization: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
