Reed HR is collaborating with a growing manufacturing company in Worthing to find an experienced HR Assistant for their close-knit team. Reporting to the Office & HR Manager, you will support the efficient operation of the office with a primary focus on HR, playing a key role in developing the HR department. This standalone role, with management support, involves managing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing HCM/HRIS
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Update, develop, and implement policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support, including paperwork preparation
  • Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process, including writing job specifications and supporting interviews
  • Generate regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in an HR role (essential)
  • CIPD qualification or working towards (desirable)
  • Genuine interest in HR and making a positive contribution to both the team and the company
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
  • Task-focused, diligent, and organised
