Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer

A Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer is required to join a major utilities company based in the South East on a permanent basis.

The successful Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer will be able to get involved with interesting work of national importance from the outset and will joining an experienced, dynamic, and close-knit team, with managerial responsibilities.

The Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer will be able to benefit from flexible working arrangements, but will be required to attend the office in the South East twice a week.

As a Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Providing focused accurate, effective, and timely advice on a range of environmental and planning legal matters
  • Assisting with Environmental Information Regulation queries
  • Managing external legal resources
  • Providing legal support on ongoing, large-scale programmes and projects
  • Management responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience required of the Senior Environmental and Planning Lawyer:

  • Qualified as a lawyer (solicitor, barrister or equivalent)
  • Experience in Environmental and Planning Law
  • An ability to collaborate well as a team player and take on managerial responsibilities
  • Those with Public sector or private practice experience are encouraged to apply and previous in-house experience would also be beneficial but not necessary
