Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing secretarial support to lawyers
  • Answering telephone calls, transferring calls, and taking messages
  • Keeping accurate records of meetings and appointments
  • Organising travel arrangements for lawyers
  • Arranging meetings and managing lawyers' diaries
  • Attending court and meeting clients
  • Closing, archiving, and storing files
  • Assisting in the preparation of court documents

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
  • Proficiency in using legal software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanour with a high level of integrity and ethics
