Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise students and deliver pre-prepared educational resources in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Maintain a calm and purposeful environment, setting and maintaining high standards and expectations.
  • Follow the school’s systems to ensure a disruption-free learning environment.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, promoting engagement and supporting their progress.
  • Manage classroom activities, ensuring students complete their work effectively and understand the tasks set.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Highly adaptable, responsive, and flexible in approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • A calm, fair, and positive manner, combined with the assertiveness needed to maintain high standards.
  • A passion for learning and working with young people.
  • Relevant educational background and experience working with children in an educational setting are preferred.
