SEND Complex Needs Assistant - Worthing

We are currently working with an exceptional SEND Primary School located in Worthing who are seeking to recruit a full-time SEND Complex Needs Assistant.

All students attending have an EHCP and the needs include:

  • moderate learning difficulties

  • severe learning difficulties

  • profound and multiple learning difficulties,

  • autism and associated social, communication and anxiety disorders,

  • complex learning difficulties

  • specific learning difficulties and speech and language difficulties

  • sensory difficulties e.g. difficulties with hearing and vision

  • physical disabilities

  • social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

You will work under the direction and guidance of the class teacher or a HLTA/associate teacher/senior staff, and within an agreed system of supervision.

The role will include providing educational and personal support to children with learning, social and communication, physical,medical, sensory and/or behavioural difficulties and needs, both in and out of school within the school day.

We are looking for candidates with recent SEND experience working with children in schools who are available full-time to start ASAP! This role would also be suitable for Graduates, those from care and/or support worker backgrounds or people just looking to start a career within Special Education.
