Key Responsibilities:
As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to provide individualised support to children with autism.
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment to help children thrive.
Develop and implement tailored strategies to assist with communication, social skills, and daily routines.
Provide hands-on support during class activities, playtime, and transitions to promote engagement and learning.
Act as a positive role model, encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with autism or additional needs (preferred but not essential).
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and supportive in a dynamic school setting.
A willingness to undertake training to enhance your skills in autism support.
