Part Time and Full Time Roles Available.
Are you someone who always puts others first? Are you a good listener who takes a personalised and flexible approach to everything you do and always treats others the way you expect to be treated? Then make the move to Southdown as a Support Worker.
We’re a values-based not-for-profit business - a place where people treat everyone as they expect to be treated. Warm, kind, and non-controlling, we let others live their lives. We believe it’s about how our clients think and what they want, not what we tell them to do. It’s about wanting to help others live their lives to the full.
As a Support Worker, you’ll have lots of interactions with clients every day - covering the usual range of human activities and emotions. Some will be routine, some fun, some could be difficult. At Southdown, you will acquire the skills to make the best of each situation. You’ll also have every opportunity to progress your career, just like many of our staff already have.
Right now, we need people like you to support clients with a variety of personal care, mobility, health, behavioural and communication support needs in Worthing. As well as providing high-quality tailored care and support, we’ll rely on you to encourage clients to be confident in their abilities, cope with daily tasks and lead more fulfilling lives. It’s not easy, but it’s really rewarding, and your support will really make a difference.
We very much welcome previous experience in roles such as Health Care Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker, Senior Support Worker, Nurse, Social Care Worker, Senior Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Nursing Home Assistant, Personal Assistant or Residential Care Worker.
Our ValuesSouthdown is a psychologically informed organisation where the well-being and happiness of our employees’ matter. We’re committed to creating a positive and compassionate work environment where employees feel valued, respected, and inspired to do their best. In addition, we’re a family-friendly employer that recognises the importance of a work-life balance. If you share our values and want to work for an organisation that helps change lives for the better, we want to hear from you.
We are a Disability Confident Employer and are fully committed to supporting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and welcome applications from all candidates that meet our job specifications. If you feel there is a barrier that potentially prevents you from applying, do get in contact with us, as we are always happy to discuss (or arrange a discussion with the recruiting manager) to explore if any reasonable adjustments can be made to support your application.
