Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker for our client's residential care setting designed to support young people (YP) with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). This mixed-gender home in Worthing accommodates up to 6 residents, including two independent flats for young people with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) in place.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and promoting independence, life skills, and emotional growth. You’ll support a small group of young people by assisting with daily tasks like personal care, meal preparation, updating care records, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The role also involves engaging in recreational and educational activities to enhance development.

Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, the Support Worker will help ensure the safety and well-being of all residents while contributing to a positive, growth-oriented atmosphere. Comprehensive training will be provided in therapeutic approaches and compliance with regulatory standards.

Do you have?

  • Experience working with children with special needs or in childcare, education, family support settings preferred.
  • Strong commitment and desire to bring about positive change in the lives of children and young people in care.
  • Level 3 NVQ in health and social care desirable
  • Possess driving license, desirable
