Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Worthing
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Position: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Worthing. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to students with additional needs, helping them thrive in a mainstream classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and engage with learning
- Assist in the delivery of individual learning plans and strategies tailored to each student's needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and valued
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and track student progress
- Support students with both academic tasks and social/emotional development
- Encourage and motivate students to build their confidence and independence
- Help manage behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times

Experience, Training and Qualifications
- GCSE's or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year working with children
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
