SEN Teacher

Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Worthing. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs (SEN) by providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual student needs.

  • Support students with Autism, ADHD, and other SEN in their academic and personal development.

  • Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to provide tailored support.

  • Implement EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) targets and track progress.

  • Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage confidence and independence.

Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching primary-aged children with SEN (preferred but not essential).

  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach.

  • Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills.

  • Full UK driving licence (school is not easily accessible by public transport).

  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
