Position: Support Worker - Long Day & Sleeps
Location: Kingswood
Salary: 13.00 per hour
OTE: 27,070 per annum
Shift Pattern: Week 1 - 3 shifts, Week 2 - 4 shifts (including every other weekend off)

Randstad is recruiting on behalf of a family-run service supporting vulnerable adults in solo occupancy residential settings.

The Role
We are looking for two compassionate and energetic Support Workers to provide 2:1 support to a service user with autism and learning disabilities. This role involves supporting them with daily activities, encouraging independence, and promoting a structured routine that enhances her well-being. The service user loves to be creative, loves singing, drama, arts, crafts and likes to go out and about in the car so we are looking for...

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Provide emotional and practical support to encourage independence
  • Support with personal care (prompting hygiene, pad changes, etc.)
  • Encourage participation in community & activities
  • Administer medication where required
  • Accompany to GP and other health appointments
  • Encourage healthy lifestyle choices - diet, exercise, personal hygiene etc
  • Promote creativity and engagement through arts, crafts, and outdoor activities

Requirements:

  • Understanding of autism and learning disabilities
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours
  • Fun, bubbly personality with patience and energy
  • Ability to adapt to a structured routine
  • A positive role model who promotes independence
  • Driving license preferred
  • Female only due to client requirements
