Hays Senior Finance are working with an established company in the Wrexham area who are looking to appoint a qualified Financial Controller. The company provides a broad product range and has an established brand name. They are an innovative and agile company who invest in R&D and will enter new markets when appropriate. They have a stable turnover and have always proven to be profitable. They predominantly trade in the UK but do have an element of import/export. The company has very little debt and owns the freehold of their head office and warehouse.
The Financial Controller will head up the finance department by directly managing four staff members and reporting directly to the Managing Director and Board. As a qualified accountant, you will be fully responsible for ensuring all statutory deadlines are hit and providing the management team with accurate and meaningful management accounts and analysis. This company has a flat structure, so the Financial Controller will have real input into the direction and decision-making of the company. At the same time, it is expected that the Financial Controller will roll their sleeves up and work with the team during busy periods and lead from the front. We are keen to speak with qualified accountants who are either a proven Finance Manager looking to step up into their first No1 role or a seasoned professional who has operated at this level before.
