Senior Group Accountant | Wrexham | £55,000 - £65,000

Resourcery Group are engaged with a well respected manufacturing business in Wrexham who are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Group Accountant. This role will have a broad set of duties, ideal for a technically trained Accountant looking to gain more commercial or FP&A experience in a fast paced environment.

Main duties will include;

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insight and analysis
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings and contributing to strategic discussions related to financial performance
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support for business initiatives
  • Assist with external audits and regulatory compliance activities
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed
  • Reviewing and preparing financial reports and statements
  • Engaging in continuous learning and development to stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Communicating with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes

Candidate profile;

  • ACCA/ACA Qualified preferred
  • Audit trained ideally – industry experience essential
  • Strong technical background within financial reporting and good knowledge of local and international standards
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to people at all levels
