We are currently representing a highly respected client who is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Management Team in a hands-on capacity, making significant contributions to both the department and the company. This position is ideally suited for someone with an SME background who is looking to leverage their skills in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Produce month-end accounting packs.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, pre-payments, and accruals.
- Manage cash flow and prepare VAT returns.
- Handle fixed assets and intercompany accounts, including reconciliations.
- Manage invoicing and bank reconciliation.
- Report to external accountants and advisors.
- Assess and forecast work-in-progress.
- Prepare budgets and conduct variance analysis.
- Provide wider input into the business as a senior manager/leader.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required within the accounts department.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- AAT qualified and part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- Experience within the construction industry is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant finance management legislation and business systems.
- Sage 50 experience is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and support others.
- Ability to adapt to change, solve problems, and maintain a ‘can do’ attitude.
