Mechanical Project Engineer

I am currently working alongside a leading civilengineering contractor who are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer due to a number of new clean water contracts being awarded. My client operates across the water and wastewater sector.

Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the project management team.
  • Overseeing mechanical aspects of projects from start to finish.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical systems, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.

Mechanical Project Engineer Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as HNC, Degree, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Possess a valid CSCS/ECS/SKILLcard or equivalent certification.
  • Certification in SMSTS and First Aid at Work (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in delivering water and wastewater projects, including mechanical installations.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
