Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are pleased to be handling the permanent recruitment of a part-qualified or AAT Qualified Assistant Finance Manager role for a well-established manufacturing business based in Wrexham. Our Client turns over in the region of £8.5m in the UK and is part of a Group but works independently.

The role of Assistant Finance Manager would report into the Finance Manager, who will offer great mentorship as you progress. You will be responsible for all aspects of the finances for a couple of the subsidiaries within the group, providing reporting and analysis for the departments and potential company growth areas. A role that will offer growth and development.

Job description will include the following:

  • Production of the management accounts to P&L, variance analysis, KPI's and balance sheet accounting
  • Financial Analysis reporting
  • Group reporting, adhering to deadlines
  • Preparation of the annual budgets and forecasting, including re-forecasting
  • Monthly & year end reporting, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliation
  • Monthly VAT submissions and all associated HMRC regulatory requirements and reconciliations
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
  • Stock management reporting and analysis, bill of material and pricing updates
  • Management of the project accounting system
  • Cash management
  • Internal & external stakeholder management with suppliers and customers, the Bank and other financial institutions
  • Liaising with external auditors and finalisation of the year end accounts
  • Continuous process and system improvements with regards to accounting, making efficiencies
  • Ad hoc reporting and project accounting

Skills/Experience

  • AAT Qualified or CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Proven experience working as a Management Accountant for a similar size business
  • Excellent communicator, as the Assistant Finance Manager you will be working with stakeholders at all level
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to work to deadlines
  • Able to spin multiple plates
  • Desire to make improvements and efficiencies
