Recruit4Staff are proud to represent our client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Construction Programmer based in their Wrexham office, also working on sites across the UK.
For the successful Construction Programmer our client is offering:
- £400 - £500 per day (negotiable depending on skillset and experience)
- Monday to Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm (hours may vary)
- Short-term contract 1-2 months
- Potential for longer-term work for the right person
- Hybrid working
The Role - Construction Programmer
- Play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects, primarily under NEC3/4 form of subcontract
- Develop comprehensive construction programs and schedules for mechanical fabrication and erection projects
- Conduct site visits to assess the project requirements
- Ensure compliance with NEC3/4 subcontract requirements, particularly in terms of programming and scheduling
- Collaborate with project manager to interpret contract clauses and incorporate them into plans
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project timelines
- Advise on potential threats to the schedule
- Coordinate resource allocation
What our client is looking for in a Construction Programmer
- BSc in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field - ESSENTIAL
- Proficiency in project management software including Microsoft Project - ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of NEC3/4 form of subcontract and its programming requirements - ESSENTIAL
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
