Facilities and Contracts Manager

Permanent Up to 30 hours per week (flexible with some out of hours working required)

Salary £35,000 40,000 FTE depending on experience

Following a £5M investment in the hospice building, Nightingale House Hospice has an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Facilities and Contracts Manager to lead the Facilities Team based at the hospice. You will be an effective communicator with excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements and be able to:

Oversee all aspects of facilities servicing and maintenance.

Deal effectively with facilities emergencies, working with sub-contractors.

Ensure all facilities activities meet health and safety requirements, established standards and provides a safe environment for all patients, staff and volunteers, visitors, customers and onsite contractors.

Oversee the hospices Housekeeping contract.

Oversee the hospices IT Service contract.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills and appreciation of the need for flexibility and a pro-active approach to working in all aspects of your role, while working collaboratively with other professionals to service and develop the needs of the Hospice.

Your passion to oversee all aspects of facilities and contribute as part of a wider team to make a difference to our patients and their families must be a priority. The role will involve direct line management of the established Facilities Team.

Your skillset and experience will ensure your ability to lead on projects and all aspects of health and safety to enhance the environment of Nightingale House Hospice and its retail portfolio.

Nightingale House Hospice provides high quality palliative and end of life care to a significant and growing number of people living with a life limiting illness in Northeast Wales and beyond.
