Matchtech, in collaboration with Coffey Construction Ltd, a tier 1 contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Wrexham. This role is essential in the water sector, focusing on both RC works and earthworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately setting out and surveying various RC works and earthworks
- Interpreting and executing project plans and drawings to ensure precise construction
- Monitoring and checking work progress against project schedules
- Providing technical support and guidance to site teams
- Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built drawings
- Performing quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, particularly in the water sector
- Competency in RC works and earthworks
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment (own kit is optional)
- Strong understanding of construction plans and project specifications
- Ability to maintain precise and clear site records
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to health and safety standards and practices
