Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Location: Wrexham, Wales
Duration: 6 Months
SRG is currently seeking a candidate for the Occupational Health Nurse role, responsible for:
- Assisting in the provision of comprehensive occupational health services, managing a caseload, and offering clinical guidance on work-related health issues, including sickness absence management, case management, and workplace adjustments.
- Supporting the OH team by providing leadership, developing health and wellbeing strategies, and conducting health assessments such as audiometry, spirometry, and musculoskeletal evaluations.
- Promoting the adherence to OH policies, managing employee health records, and coordinating onboarding medical checks, health surveillance, and vaccination campaigns.
- Contributing to culture change initiatives by modelling good behaviours and engaging with the 3S Safety Program.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and supporting the business in maintaining regulatory requirements and improvements.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- A Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) qualification in adult nursing.
- Current NMC registration with evidence of revalidation.
- Completion of a course in Occupational Health (diploma or degree level) and Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN).
- An enhanced background check, arranged by the employer.
- Up-to-date training in audiometry and spirometry.
- Current vaccinations/immunizations and anaphylaxis training.
Experience:
Preferred:
- At least 2 years of experience in occupational health after obtaining the Occupational Health Nursing diploma or degree.
- Experience in report writing.
- Proficiency in using electronic occupational health software, as well as Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Minimum:
- A working knowledge of work-related stress and anxiety, with the ability to identify those at risk.
- Previous involvement in health promotion campaigns.
