As part of a well-established and supportive Digital Solutions team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery and ongoing support of the institution’s Virtual Learning Environments (Canvas and Moodle), helping both staff and students thrive in an increasingly digital academic landscape. The Opportunity This is an exciting and varied position that combines first-line technical support, platform administration, and proactive engagement with digital learning tools and strategies. You’ll contribute to the creation and maintenance of online course areas, provide expert support to users, and ensure the successful population and launch of Canvas modules for each student intake.You’ll be joining an environment that values continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation—where your work will have a direct impact on the learning experience of thousands of students. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective first-line support for Canvas and Moodle queries.
  • Manage and allocate support tickets within the Digital Solutions team.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of programme and module content on VLE platforms.
  • Support the implementation of digital assessment processes and educational tools such as plagiarism detection software and CidiLabs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver digital learning projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Provide training, advice, and documentation to both academic and professional services staff.
  • Monitor and report on VLE usage and performance, supporting data-driven enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, data protection, and copyright regulations.
About You You’ll bring a keen interest in educational technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-first approach to technical support. Your ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders—from students to senior academics—will be essential to your success in this role.Ideally, you'll have:
