Proactive Personnel are working with a well-established, thriving aerospace component manufacturer based in Wrexham to recruit for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their thriving production team on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a experienced Team Leader who ideally has experience within the aerospace industry to join a forward-thinking company who offers stability and strong progression. You will be responsible for leading the Treatments Teams to achieve daily targets by ensuring operators are following procedures, policies and meeting deadlines.

Job Details -

  • 24/7 shift pattern working 12 hour shifts across both days and nights (7-7)
  • £16.52ph basic rate, plus 18% shift allowance based on 37 hours + 5 hours overtime paid at time and a half. Totalling to roughly £43,900 per annum.

Manufacturing Team Leader Duties -

  • Safety - Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and company policies whilst promoting a safe working environment. Completing risk, COSHH and Manual Handling assessments along with all accident investigations and approving any appropriate actions. Performing work inspections of work areas ensuring they are maintained to a 6S standard.
  • Quality - Ensuring all tasks are performed to quality standards, participating in internal and external audits and leading the MRB process using problem solving tools such as 5Y and 8D.
  • Cost - Maintaining of internal KPI measures such as SQDCP, output, DAWC and arrears to the production plan. Managing and updating TAKT, cell and PPM boards.
  • Delivery - Analysing KPI data, working with other departments and ensuring the production schedule is adhered to to achieve the desired outcome. Ensuring all documentation and process confirmation checks are completed.
  • People - Responsible for recruitment & onboarding, training, reviews, KPI management, appraisals and disciplinary investigations.

Manufacturing Team Leader Requirements -

  • Team Leader experience within a manufacturing environment ideally within the aerospace industry.
  • ILM Level 3 in Management or equivalent.
  • The ability to read and understand customer specifications, drawings and visual aids.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong leadership skills and with experience managing large teams.
