gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer to work at their facility based near Wrexham
Performance Objectives

  • Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed
  • All planned maintenance tasks, change overs, other additional work as required by engineering manager
  • Diagnose breakdown faults - mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, process
  • Permitting compliance with safety requirements and liaison and coordination with other Departments as required.
  • Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution.
  • Reports resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework or deferred maintenance as required whilst keeping all tasks & activities logged and up-dated.
  • Equipment Problems Trouble-shooting and Basic Root Cause Analysis and Development of Solutions.
  • Provide Technical Support to all machine breakdowns and changeovers.

Person Specification

  • Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3.
  • Able to read Hydraulics / pneumatics circuits.
  • Read and produce mechanical drawings.
  • Carried out PPM on mechanical equipment.
  • TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience.
  • Electrical and Mechanical ability essential
  • Complex problem solving and fault finding experience
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to work and learn independently
