SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - SUSTAINABILITY/CLEANTECH STARTUP

Lynx are currently partnering with an exciting venture-backed cleantech startup that is developing innovative solutions for waste recovery and recycling.

They are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join their ambitious team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing their core technology from concept through to production, working on everything from small component designs to large-scale industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of innovative recycling equipment
  • Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Manage projects from concept through to operational validation
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of existing designs
  • Support installation and commissioning activities

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record in mechanical design and development of industrial machinery
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor/similar)
  • Experience taking products from concept through to manufacture
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
  • Ability to work independently and make critical design decisions
  • Experience with test and validation procedures
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and practical engineering skills
