Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer
Location: Wrexham Salary: Up to 拢38,000 per annum + Bonus + Overtime Opportunities
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served machinist to work in a hands-on role within a precision manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for machining precision components, working to engineering drawings, and ensuring the efficient operation of a busy machine shop. This role primarily involves working with manual machines, with training available for CNC operations if required.
Key Responsibilities
路 Machining Operations - Set up and operate manual lathes, knee mills, and drills to produce high-precision components.
路 Engineering Drawings - Read and interpret technical drawings to meet exact specifications.
路 Tooling & Finishing - Use interchangeable inserts and grinding tools to achieve required finishes and tolerances.
路 Bench Fitting & Assembly - Experience in bearing renewal and assembly work is an advantage but not essential.
路 Low Volume Precision Work - Exposure to mould work and rubber machining is beneficial; training can be provided.
路 CNC Experience - Not required but advantageous, with training available for the right candidate.
About You
路 Time-served machinist with experience in manual machining, including lathes, mills, and drills.
路 Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision manufacturing.
路 Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team.
路 Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
