A rare opportunity has arisen to join the business as seniorProduction Manager, leading production over two facilities, and with responsibility for all aspects of operations, plant metrics, safety, quality, cost control, people engagement and development, and continuous improvement. Dependent on experience, the incumbent could also deputise for the Site Manager and will be given specific development to ensure they can successfully manage the additional brief as and when required.

Sitting on the site leadership team, the Production Manager must work collaboratively with the rest of the SLT to meet common goals, share ideas, and ensure that Production works effectively alongside all other functions.

Key skills

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager or Manufacturing Manager in a technically challenging, batch manufacturing environment
  • Preferably experienced in a highly regulated manufacturing setting such as aerospace, medical devices, or pharmaceutical
  • Formally qualified to degree level in a science, chemistry or engineering related discipline
  • Ability to evidence quantifiable achievement in leadership, with a major focus on safety and world class manufacturing methods Lean, Six Sigma and TPM
  • Good cross functional understanding of New Product Introduction, Quality, Engineering and Projects
  • Definite aspirations to assume further responsibility and progress to a Site Leadership role
  • Ability to manage complex situations and apply a structured and logical problem solving approach
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills

An effective member of the SLT, they will work collaboratively with stakeholders both at site and Group level internationally.
