The Role of Band 3 Administration Support
Band 3 Administration Supportrequired for an immediate start to join a busy NHS department, supporting the team by taking on administrative and secretarial tasks to manage the Endoscopy appointment list. This role will suit an administrator who is able to work productively in a busy environment.

Main duties will include:

  • Handling telephone calls and taking messages
  • Booking appointments on WPAS
  • Liaising with medical staff
  • Adding referrals to the waiting list
  • Sending correspondence
  • Preparing and maintaining files
  • Filing and general administration


The Candidate
The ideal Band 3 Administration Supportwill have the following:

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • The ability to organise and manage appointments.
  • The ability to correctly manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrable ability to write letters accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Highly organised individual who can prioritise workload.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology.
