Join a leading chicken processing facility as a Payroll Assistant. We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to support our clients Payroll/Finance department. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of their weekly payroll for employees.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collate data and process weekly payrolls, including sickness, absence, bonus/overtime payments, holidays, and pensions.
  • Handle processing of starters and leavers through the payroll programme.
  • Manage and finalise holiday requests in compliance with company procedures.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time.
  • Update and check tax codes and support all internal and external audits related to payroll.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to form good working relationships with all staff and managers.

  • Excellent understanding of the English language, both spoken and written.

Desirable:

  • Previous knowledge and experience of using Sage Payroll.
  • Previous payroll administrative experience.
  • Full training will be provided for the role.
