Monday - Friday / 4am - 12pm

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for an Early Shift Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be part of the Wrexham Management Team, to be able to manage the department from 4am in the morning being the only Manager on site. Responsible for employees and health and safety. An accountability of the role is to manage people, therefore you will have previous experience of working within a similar role.

Performance Objectives

  • Oversee production and the employees.
  • Ensuring PPE worn correctly.
  • Working with an established team looking after about 25 employees.
  • Employee Inductions.
  • Ensure H&S checks on production lines completed.
  • Learn payroll system to provide cover for holiday.
  • Arranging staff rota’s - organising of booking agency staff required.
  • Checks lorry temps and cleanliness on loading.
  • Checks on production side cleaning team - sign off sheets, etc.
  • SOP training with staff.
  • Employee meetings for effective communication.

Person Specification

  • Team Leader/Management relevant qualification.
  • Ability to manage people.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Computer literate.
  • Physically able to carry out manual duties (Lift up to 20kg).
  • Reliable, diligent, committed and a team player.
