What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Machining Expertise - Guide and support machinists in operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders for precision low-volume production.
  • Production Oversight - Plan schedules, manage capacity, and optimise machine loading to meet customer demands.
  • Team Leadership - Motivate, mentor, and manage a small team of skilled machinists, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Process Improvement - Collaborate with design engineers, sales, and production teams to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Machine Maintenance & Tooling - Ensure smooth operations by managing maintenance schedules and tooling requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Time-served machining experience (manual & CNC) with a strong grasp of engineering drawings.
  • Expertise in precision machining, mould work, and rubber/polyurethane manufacturing.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage production schedules.
