About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and capable professional to manage upcoming residential sites featuring a mix of houses and flats.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term pipeline of projects over the next 5-7 years, primarily located between Wrexham and Llandudno, with additional operations in West Wales, particularly around Aberystwyth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Site Review & Budgeting: Conduct thorough site reviews, prepare tender packages, and develop site budgets.

  • Procurement & Cost Control: Analyze quotes, attend pre-start meetings, and manage the procurement process, including placing orders for materials and subcontractors.

  • Financial Management: Track costs, process monthly subcontractor payments, and prepare, issue, and agree on client valuations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the buying department to ensure procurement strategies align with project needs.

  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits as necessary to monitor progress, assess work quality, and address any issues that arise.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector.

  • Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and procurement processes.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to review and assess contracts, tenders, and site budgets.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

  • Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • A full UK driving license is required due to site visit requirements.
