Reed are working with secondary schools within the Wrexham and Flintshire are on the look for a History Teacher looking for a new challenge in supply or long term roles.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality history lessons that captivate and motivate our students.
  • Develop and enhance the history curriculum in collaboration with the department.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love for history.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school training events.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and community events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Relevant degree in history or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching history in a secondary school environment.
  • Strong subject knowledge with a passion for history.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities and school events.
