At Tradewind we work in partnership with several schools in and around the areas of Wrexham that need positive and adaptable supply teachers to cover in different secondary schools on a regular basis, whether it be to cover short-term or long-term absences or to provide general day to day cover.

We are looking for educators who would be happy to work in secondary schools on a full or part time basis.

The Role Involves:

  • Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and supporting students where required
  • Positive classroom management, promoting good behaviour and engaging students to reach their highest potential
  • Follow school policies, including those related to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Building positive relationships with staff and students alike
  • Adaptability across a range of subjects and year groups

Requirements To Be A Supply Teacher:

  • An Enhanced Child only DBS on the Update Service, if you do not have one, you can apply for one through Tradewind (which we refund after 20 days worked - we do not take it out of your pay…)
  • You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK, as we cannot offer sponsorship.
