A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Child Protection Social Worker to join Wrexham Council. The successful candidate will manage an allocated caseload, undertake and complete Special Guardianship assessments, support plans and attend SGO Panel. They will adapt and apply Social Worker techniques to ensure their approach meets the needs of the individuals/ people needing care and support, their families and carers in need of support and work both independently and in partnership with others.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an allocated caseload, undertake and complete Special Guardianship assessments, support plans and attend SGO Panel
- Promote positive outcomes by taking appropriate action in the provision of professional support, advice and decisions to ensure that all individuals referred have a plan based on an assessment of need and that such plans are evidence-based, recorded, reviewed and modified as appropriate
- Liaise with the case holding Social Worker regularly and engage with supervision with Assistant Team Managers
- Have a recognised Social Work qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Have experience working within a Child Protection Team
- Enhanced DBS
