Classical Civilisation Tutor

Position: Classical Civilisation Tutor (1:1)Location: WrexhamSyllabus: Full coverage of the Edexcel examination board requirementsHours: 1 hours per week (increasing to 1.5 hours after the Christmas break)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced tutor with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to provide dedicated, one-on-one support for a student preparing for Classical Civilisation exams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive tuition covering the Edexcel syllabus for Classical Civilisation.
• Assist the student in collating and organising resources and materials to support their studies.
• Provide and adapt learning resources, including producing lesson notes and personalised revision booklets.
• Ensure the student fully understands the requirements of their learning tasks and homework.
• Use ICT tools and equipment to support and enhance the student’s learning experience.
• Provide opportunities for the student to ask questions and clarify expectations to reinforce understanding.
• Support the student in planning, organising, and managing their time effectively for learning and homework tasks.
• Include sensory or movement breaks during sessions, as needed, to help the student regulate their energy levels and maintain focus.

Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the Edexcel syllabus for Classical Civilisation.
• Proven experience in tailoring learning resources and providing structured support for students.
• Patience, creativity, and a commitment to helping the student achieve their academic potential.

Location: The role will be based in Wrexham, with in-person sessions required.
