This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Teaching Assistant's and Graduates to start their career in a dynamic and inclusive schooling environment. The role offers diverse opportunities working with children with specific needs across all core subjects. This role offers a potential for a permanent position following the end of the academic year making it a great stepping stone into long-term work.
Role Overview:
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Havering, London
- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: 88.92 - 115 per day (depending on experience)
- Contract Type: Full Time
- Working Hours: 5 days per week
- School Type: 3-form entry school with a 'Good' OFSTED rating
- Transport Links: Excellent transport connections to the school
As a Teaching Assistant you will be playing a key role in supporting the educational development of students from EYFS to Key Stage 2. You will assist the classroom teaching in delivering lessons, help individual or small groups of children and contributing to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You'll also be contributing to SEN inclusion schemes when in the classroom assisting the delivery of EHCP's and working with the appropriate teams to keep them on track.
What we're looking for in a Teaching Assistant:
- A positive attitude and passion towards working with children promoting a desire to make an impact on their learning journey.
- Patience, Empathy and behavioural management skills as working with children between the ages of 5-11.
- Relevant qualification or experience In regards to the role, such as a graduate degree or teaching assistant certificates followed by significant experience
- A willingness to learn whilst in the work space, as a graduate with minimal experience building up a portfolio of time in the classroom will need a proactive mind-set towards the role.
