Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Wylam (Northumberland)

Salary: £50,000- £65,000

We are partnered with a growing Engineering company who are looking for a strategic thinking Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and financial expertise, coupled with a proactive approach to process improvement and business insight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyse, and present management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights to support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial risks and opportunities during acquisitions or buyouts.
  • Prepare and oversee accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
  • Partner with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and project-based accounting.
  • Monitor financial performance and deliver variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and optimise financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification: CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Experience: Proven track record in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Buyouts (beneficial if the experience is within an engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication environment).
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
