Senior Accounts Assistant – Wymondham
Contract Personnel are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant for a highly sustainable engineering company in Wymondham.
How does the day-to-day look?
- Building and maintaining great relationships with clients, helping them run a slick finance operation and answering their queries day-to-day
- Keeping the client's accounts up-to-date, so they always know how their business is performing and can make key decisions
- Processing management journals, such as prepayments, depreciation and accrued/deferred income
- Experience in running monthly reports and preparing Management Accounts
- Experience completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly management reports is essential
- Good VAT knowledge, including preparing monthly VAT returns and ensuring deadlines are met
- Good payroll knowledge, processing of weekly and monthly payroll in additional to monthly CIS Returns
- Using cloud-based software such as Xero, as well as packages such as Microsoft Excel.
You will have:
- A high level of bookkeeping knowledge and expertise
- Knowledge of Xero preferable but not essential
- An understanding of other Xero apps
- Proven experience, either in an accountancy practice or in industry
- AAT level 4 or CIMA qualification preferred but not essential
- A positive collaborative team working approach
- Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
