Job Title: Electrician (BS 7671 18th Edition Qualified)
Location: Wymondham, UK
Contract Duration: 4-6 Weeks
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (with flexibility as required)

They specialize in repurposing second-life electric vehicle batteries to develop innovative battery energy storage systems. By extending the lifespan of these resources, they contribute to the circular economy and help address the energy trilemma through cutting-edge technology and environmental responsibility.

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician with a BS 7671 18th Edition qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience to support a temporary project in Wymondham. This role involves the installation, termination, and integration of electrical components for battery energy storage systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe deployment of power distribution and control systems within modular energy storage units.

• Prepare and terminate large power SWA cables within the external DB.
• Prepare and terminate ancillary SWA cables, CAT6, and SCADA cables within the external DB.

• Route cables externally via cable baskets.
• Install a transformer (Tx) inside the container.
• Terminate power SWA cables entering through a gland plate.
• Route and terminate ancillary SWA, CAT6, and SCADA cables inside the container.

• Rewire/reroute lighting, fans, and sockets before SBP installation.
• Install PowerLock Distribution Boxes on the container gland plate.
• Install externally supplied SBP at the container's center.
• Connect ancillary circuits, transformer secondary outputs, and four docks to the PowerLock Distribution Box.

• Manufacture and install cables for test docks on a universal container.
• Install cable baskets between all containers.
• Build and integrate busbar cabinet docks for the universal container.
• Connect ancillary power supply from SBP.

• BS 7671 18th Edition qualified Electrician.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical installation, preferably in industrial or energy storage environments.
• Proficiency in SWA cable preparation, termination, and containment solutions.
• Experience with transformers, switchboard panels, and PowerLock Distribution Boxes is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and installation plans.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations in electrical installations.
