Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Operator to join their dynamic production team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires a strong background in both leadership and machine-based production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and work with the team of production operatives to achieve daily targets and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Manage the workflow and allocate tasks to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Operate and oversee the maintenance of machinery, ensuring all equipment is used safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide training and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a production environment, with specific expertise in letter-based and machine-based processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices in a production setting.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, and to work every other weekend.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
