Buyer (indirect Procurement)

My client a global prestigious manufacturer based near Wymondham is looking to recruit a talented and motivated Buyer to work within the indirect Procurement Department, working closely with their Engineering, Quality and Programme teams.
The role of Buyer will involve but not be limited to, leading and promoting the development of collaborative and world class supplier relationships.
Managing the supplier performance, ensuring that Quality, Cost and Delivery performance is maintained.
Establishing an in depth understanding of the supply base, local and global markets, and the requirements of the business.
Developing and maintaining commodity & sourcing strategies.
Leading supplier negotiations and ensuring the delivery of material cost targets for the new product introduction.
The successful experienced Buyer will ideally have 3 – 5 years already in a similar role and will have proven examples of negotiating, have an ability to work independently, be results driven, with the perseverance to deliver within a complex, highly demanding environment.
You will be a strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional engagement and be an effective team player, who actively develops and supports other team members.
