Purpose of the Role:
Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused HR Advisor to provide comprehensive, pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees, and partners. The successful candidate will ensure all HR practices align with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements, contributing to a high-performing, supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Advisory Services:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and professional HR guidance across recruitment, employee relations, absence management, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, best practices, and internal policies.
  • Support managers in handling complex HR cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of HR policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, GDPR, and other information governance requirements.

Change and People Management:

  • Support change management initiatives, including restructuring, TUPE transfers, and redundancy processes.
  • Provide advice on maternity, paternity, adoption, flexible working, and other employee benefits in line with legislation and company policies.

Learning and Development:

  • Assist in the delivery of HR-related training sessions for staff and managers to enhance people management capabilities.

Health, Wellbeing, and Equality:

  • Promote and support health and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring an inclusive workplace.
  • Encourage equality, diversity, and inclusion in all HR practices and challenge inappropriate behaviours constructively.

Corporate and Service Accountability:

  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with employees, managers, trade union representatives, and external service providers.
  • Contribute to HR strategy delivery and continuous business improvement through effective use of HR data and reporting.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English.
  • CIPD Associate Membership or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Proven experience in an HR advisory capacity.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Competent in using HR systems and analysing data to inform decisions.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Evidence of continuous professional development in HR.
  • Experience in delivering HR projects and supporting organisational change.
