We are currently seeking an interim Financial Accountant (with Oracle Experience) to work with our global FMCG client, Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as TIGI, VO5, Toni & Guy, and Brylcreem, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position will initially be based in Ransomes Dock, Battersea, London however the company plans to move to High Holborn, London by end of 2024. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying between 59,000 - 70,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

Your Role & Key Responsibilities
Your Role
You will be working as part of an experienced Financial Accounting Team. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounts, by carrying out the monthly/quarterly/annual cycle with robust control processes. You will also get involved in various projects as well as audit.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead month end close process with support from the Financial Accounting team, including posting of journals, adjustments, accruals and provisions
- Prepare and lead the balance sheet review process, providing reconciliations and commentary for sign off by FC
- Standardize, simplify and produce single source of
- Lead bank reconciliations process
- Provide monthly stock reconciliations with adjustments to stock provision
- Monthly stock reporting with variance analysis
- IFRS16 lease accounting
- Support preparation for annual statutory audit and prepare statutory accounts
- Work with tax manager for inputs to tax computations
- Maintain accurate inventory costing in Oracle system
- Support GL Accountant with VAT reconciliations
- Ongoing review of internal control framework
- As required assist FC/FD on project work to support the business
About you:
- Strong IT skills including Excel and Oracle experience essential
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- Possibly first-time mover from practice or experienced individual in industry
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position
- High attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in EU VAT an advantage but not essential
