Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work with a Tier 1 contractor specialising in high rise residential developments and large-scale infrastructure with projects valued in excess of 100m.

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

You will be working as part of a commercial team with support from the lead quantity surveyor and on-site managing packages from tender through to final accounts on a large 75m high rise development.

Assisting in preparing budgets, cost plans and valuations
Working closely with operations, design and health and safety teams towards key project targets
Supporting to ensure timely agreement of final accounts with your supply chain packages
Supporting the monitoring of cost control and implement cost mitigation strategies, assessing risk, at all times acting fairly and reasonably

Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong negotiation and communication skills
Relevant degree or construction related qualifications.

Superb organisation skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation.
Detail oriented, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality
