Job Title - Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor
Perm or freelance role depending on candidate
The Company - A medium sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in the Greater Manchester area are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
· Roles and responsibilities:
o Overseeing a large £40million infrastructure project with works including
§ Drainage
§ Ducting
§ Roads
§ Hard Landscaping
§ Elements of Blockwork
o Ensuring monthly application are submitted in time and to a high standard
o Agreeing monthly applications with the client’s QS
o Ensuring all additional works are recorded and valued
o On-site measures
o Re-measures from drawings
o Managing procurement of materials and subcontractors
o Monitoring progress on site against programme and notifying any potential delays
o Monitoring costs
· Minimum requirements:
o 9 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English
o Degree qualification ideally in a construction-based course
o Minimum 5-years’ experience in the industry
o IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
o UK Driving Licence
· Package
o Working hours Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm
o Mixture of office and site based
o Salary and benefits – dependant on applicant
